According to the KPMG 2017 CIO survey, (CIO standing for Chief Information Officer), IT managers consider stable supply of IT services for business (63%), the development of innovative products and services (59%) and cost savings (54%) to be the key issues. Other areas of interest include business intelligence, digital transformation, or cybersecurity. One third of IT directors (32%) said their organization faced a major cyber attack in the past 24 months. 45% of respondents counter this issue by investing into cyber security.
"Organizations have shifted from discussions and planning to implementing digital strategies and are now undertaking extensive steps. The share of organizations reporting that they are implementing comprehensive digital strategies has increased by 52% in only two years. The share of organization who have their own digital transformation specialist rose by 39% year-on-year, according to this year's survey, " Martin Hladík, Head of Technology at KPMG Czech Republic comments.
