According to the UN e-Government Survey 2016, the Czech Republic ranks 50th globally. The country obtained the best scores for the human capital component of e-Government.

The European Union has taken much-needed steps to tackle cyber threats. The proposal for a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) launched on 5 July offers the opportunity to boost industrial capabilities and encourage innovation. However the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) believes the process for developing the PPP could have been more transparent and included input from companies and organisations that are actively engaged in developing cyber security solutions.
