Czech GDP per capita is at 85% of the EU28 level, the 15th highest in the EU28, recent Eurostat data show. The top performers in this indicator are Luxembourg (237% of EU28 average), Ireland (145%), the Netherlands (129%), Austria (127%) or Germany (125%). The share of shadow economy in the Czech Republic amounts to more than 11.25% of GDP, a study published by EY and Master Card showed. During the world economic and financial crisis, in 2008, the share of shadow economy decreased by 3 percentage points. Since 2010, the share has been on the rise again.
