Manufacturing Skillsets: Sitting on a superior network for growth
The Harvard Kennedy School of Government and MIT have devised a new way to forecast the economic potential of a country. Using the current level of manufacturing capabilities and network theory, researchers project how those skillsets can spread across the manufacturing "space". The Czech Republic is ranked high, and is still gaining on those ranked above. The only dark cloud on the horizon is the decline of German manufacturing prowess.

OECD: Pensions at a glance 2015: In Czech Rep scope, impact of measures taken by Govt are low. Poverty among pensioners at low level.
OECD's recently published Pensions at a Glance 2015 report says that about half of OECD countries have taken measures in the past two years to make their systems more affordable in the long term. A third have made efforts to strengthen safety nets and help some vulnerable groups of pensioners. The report also highlights the challenge of the current low-growth, low-interest rate environment for savers and financial service providers offering life insurance and annuities.
