Prague Joined the TOP 10 Meetings Destinations of the World

Prague has succeeded in the global competition and occupied the eighth place in the ICCA ranking of the most popular congress destinations. In 2017, according to the Czech Statistical Office, 4,127 conferences were held in the Czech capital, representing a third of all the events that took place in the Czech Republic. More than half a million delegates participated in the Prague conferences, according to Prague Convention Bureau.

Radio Praha: Groundbreaking research by Czech physicist opens door to faster data entry

Experts from the Institute of Physics at the Czech Academy of Sciences recently made headlines with groundbreaking research in which they uncovered a method for data entry and storage in computing that is considerably faster than what is available at present. The team was able to prove that Spintronics based on antiferromagnets could enter data 1000 times faster than in common memory media. Their findings made a splash within the scientific community and it's easy to see why: it has the potential to fundamentally change computing years down the line.
