World leading electron microscope manufacturer FEI based in Hillsboro (OR) in the USA has opened its new tech center in Brno in Černovická terasa industrial estate. Its new technology center is with its 27,000 sq. meters covered the largest technology plant built in the Czech Republic in 2014. FEI investment into the 18 month construction of the building was 800 million Czech crowns. This enlargement of FEI Czech assets comes after 20 years of successful presence on the Czech market and in the Czech Republic and it will create additional 600 workplaces. New facility’s output will cover approx. 60 % of FEI Czech production of electron microscopes. Apart from being produced the microscopes will be also serviced and tested there. Location of facility in Brno was chosen because of its strategic position and availability of skilled high-quality workforce. What’s important is that the new technology center is based on utilization of state of art means of production and utilization of cutting edge technologies and processes.
