The Government agency CzechInvest in cooperation with the Technology Agency TA CR have prepared a new version of Brochure Research and Development in the Czech Republic (in English). The brochure provides an overview of the Science and Technology parks in the Czech Republic, gives a comprehensive overview of R&D fundings in the Czech Republic, offers selected examples of successful Czech firms and research organisations, investors in Czech R&D etc.
Also, the Czech Association of Research Organisations (AVO) informed that 1,251 entities applied for R&D tax deductions worth 100% of R&D costs incurred.
Also, according to the recently published 2016 Global R&D Funding Forecast by the Industrial Research Institute (IRI), forecast gross expenditure on R&D for the Czech Republic in both 2015 and 2016 is 1.88% of Czech GDP, 34th highest volume globally. Asian economies continue to grow faster than other parts of the world, and their investments in R&D are often at rates several times that of American and European countries. As a result, combined Asian R&D investments are growing at a faster rate than elsewhere and their global R&D shares continue to increase at almost 1% per year, while American and European R&D shares decrease, even though they also continue to increase their absolute R&D investments, just not at as fast a rate as they do in Asia, the report says.
