According to the World Intellectual Property Indicators covering IP filing activity in 2014, the Czech Republic ranks 29th (patents), 30th (marks) and 37th (designs)  in total (resident and abroad) IP filing activity by origin. Compared to patents, the Czech Republic, China Hong Kong (SAR), the Philippines, Slovakia and Ukraine are intense users of utility models, the analysis says.
