Investors are still interested in the Czech business market. In the first half of this year, 8 companies have focused on new projects in the Czech marketplace, mostly German, Swiss, Japanese and Czech. Industrial companies are predominant, especially the automotive sector. The existing companies will continue to do business here which is partly related to the long-term knowledge of the economic and legal environment of the foreign companies in the Czech Republic.
Ireland has overtaken the Czech Republic as the most attractive investment destination according to a survey conducted by Forbes magazine. Analysts were evaluating 145 countries, looking into 11 distinct factors; such as taxes, investor protection, innovation, property rights, technology, red tape, corruption, stock market performance and personal, trade and monetary freedom. Ireland has managed to come on top, keeping its favorable environment for investment, despite the Eurozone debt crisis. It has been followed by New Zealand, Hong Kong, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The Czech Republic came 43th.
