It is much easier to get a job in Prague compared with other regions in the country, the Prague region has the highest average wage and the highest quality of health care services plus the greatest number of foundations and non-profit organizations beneficial for the society, states a survey measuring quality of life based on 52 criteria, conducted by the Místo pro život non-profit organization. The problem with Prague is crime, polluted air, and low share of green areas compared with other Czech regions. The Královéhradecký region ended up second, with high level of health and social services and good conditions for work. The biggest problem the region has to tackle is high level of unemployment of young people aged less than 24. The Plzeňský region ranked third, with high level of care for children and good conditions for work. Inhabitants of the region produce less waste compared with other regions. The challenges for the region are problems with infrastructure - access to drinking water and low development of highways. Read more details (in Czech).
