No one should be surprised that the most pressing challenge was people. Factories are not only short of numbers, but lacking key skilled personnel. The two obvious answers- immigration and robots- have their own complications. Some manufacturers rare reporting that their urgent need for workers has resulted in recruiting a workforce from multiple countries. The number of languages and cultures have made it difficult to maintain quality. Robots require highly qualified supervision, and site managers are reporting that working is in very short supply.
We have been working on achieving a more efficient and predictable immigration policy, as well as intensive cooperation in developing the American market for potential Czech investors.
