WHO World Health Statistics: Monitoring Health for the SDGs. Czech Republic: Healthy life expectancy at birth is 69.4 years

Published every year since 2005, WHO’s “World Health Statistics” is the source of information on the health of the world’s people. It contains data from 194 countries on a range of mortality, disease and health system indicators, including life expectancy, illness and death from key diseases, health services and treatments, financial investment in health, and risk factors and behaviours that affect health. As for the Czech Republic, the 2016 WHO report shows the following statistical data, for example:

Healthy life expectancy at birth is 69.4 years, while Life expectancy at birth is 75.9 for males and 81.7 for females (2015).

Probability of dying from any of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases between age 30 and exact age 70 is 17% (2012).

Road traffic mortality rate (per 100 000 population) is 6.1 (2013). 

Proportion of married or in-union women of reproductive age who have their need for family planning satisfied with modern methods is 85.7% (2005-2015).

Total alcohol per capita (> 15 years of age) consumption, in litres of pure alcohol, projected estimates: 14.1 (2015).
