On 17 January 2017, Secretary of State Tomáš Prouza met with fifty representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Prague Clarion Hotel. During a business breakfast he discussed the Digital Agenda of the Czech Republic, European affairs and also the upcoming parliamentary elections in autumn 2017.

IMF World Economic Outlook January 2017: Growth projections for 2017 revised upward for Germany, Japan, Spain, UK
After a lackluster outturn in 2016, economic activity is projected to pick up pace in 2017 and 2018, especially in emerging market and developing economies. However, there is a wide dispersion of possible outcomes around the projections, given uncertainty surrounding the policy stance of the incoming U.S. administration and its global ramifications, the International Monetary Fund says in their January 2017 outlook.

Czech Workforce Report 4: Employment & median wage by occupation in the South Moravian (Jihomoravsky) region for the period 2011-2015
55% of employment in the South Moravian region is of managers (5%), professionals (20%), and technicians (30%). The number of managers dropped by 5,600 positions (-26%) - mainly in the private sector. The difference in median wage of clerical workers and plant / machine operators, assemblers is marginal in both sectors.
