Insolvency has an impact on court disputes, the collection of claims, contracts with the insolvent debtor and performances rendered under the same, and legal transactions of the debtor (or legal transactions in which a third party engages toward the debtor).

Czech legislation permits companies, and their clients, to use several kinds of online communication, including those with the use of remote contract signing. Although it is not regulatory news, there are companies that have not yet embraced such digitisation, even in these times. During the coronavirus crisis, interaction without physical presence is not only an interesting bonus, it is an outright necessity. We have therefore summarised key information that will help companies avoid disruption in communication with their customers, continue entering into contracts, and still meet all the requirements of current measures.

Revised GDP data from the Czech Republic suggests that the third-quarter was slightly better than the first estimate. The economy grew by 6.9%, but the second wave of the pandemic will push the last quarter into contractionary territory again  but the overall outlook for 2021 should improve as vaccines become available
