The Economist Impact/AmCham EU: At a turning point: Healthcare systems in Central and Eastern Europe

As governments rise to the challenge of managing the interlinked dynamics of population health and economic uncertainty, At a turning point: Healthcare systems in Central and Eastern Europe highlights the key differences and commonalities in healthcare financing and policy approaches across 13 European countries. The report, written by the Economist Impact, identifies major trends and aims to benchmark access and provision of healthcare services, medicines, healthcare outcomes as well as quality of care. It also puts forward a number of recommendations for action, in areas such as financing models, delivery of care, access to innovative treatments, diagnostics and digital infrastructure.

AmCham Real Estate Council: Czech economy should not get lost in the middle between more developed and developing economies in Europe and the world

AmCham Real Estate Council met on December 1. The world is changing: economies and businesses are in transition. De-risking supply chains results in bringing production closer to consumers. Processes become more and more automated, and there is also the transition from fossil fuels to green energy that needs to be taken into account.

Flying Lab (Testbed) – new addition to Honeywell labs in Brno region

Honeywell's Brno team has a new addition to labs (5,000 m2 of advanced tech & engineering facilities in Brno, CZ). This laboratory accelerates the process from Idea to Product. Ideas that were invented and patented by our local scientists & engineering teams in close collaboration with European and Global customers with help of local partners and suppliers.

Compensation for energy costs for large businesses: applications to be accepted from 15 November

On 2 November 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade published the first call for large businesses to apply for aid with respect to increased gas and electricity costs under the European Commission's Temporary Crisis Framework (TCF). Applications will be accepted from 15 November 2022 to 31 January 2023. CZK 30 billion is available for allocation, but the amount may further be adjusted. The call may end before this date, especially if the allocation is exhausted. Applications should therefore be prepared and submitted as soon as possible.
