Czech Workforce Report 5: Employment & median wage by occupation in the Ústecký region for the period 2011-2015

According to AmCham Czech Workforce Report 5, the number of technicians in the Ústecký region exceeds the number of plant, machine operators / assemblers. Managers number fell in both sectors. Median wage growth in the private sector ranged from 7% to 11%, except for managers (-0.3%).

Radio Praha: Czech economy slows despite increase in consumer spending

The Czech economy slowed last year despite an increase in consumer spending, Czech Radio reported on Tuesday citing new preliminary figures released by the Czech Statistical Office. According to the bureau, economic growth slowed to 2.3 percent of GDP; a year earlier it was double that amount, 4.6 percent. In Q4 alone, growth stagnated at 0.2 percent year-on-year.

ILO: More long-term care services for the elderly needed in Central-Eastern Europe

The share of public long-term care expenditure in terms of GDP in Central and Eastern Europe countries is generally less than half of that in OECD countries. It represents 0.7 per cent in the Czech Republic, 0.74 per cent in Poland and 0.53 per cent in Serbia compared to 1.7 per cent in OECD countries, the International Labour Organization ILO writes.
