Amended Investment Incentives Act entered into force

The amendment to the Act on Investment Incentives, which was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) in cooperation with the CzechInvest agency, entered into force. Its aim is to simplify and speed up the process of providing investment incentives for projects that contribute to the development of regions, employment and education.

The amendment introduces a new possibility to obtain an investment incentive that does not fall into the areas of regional support, employment and education, by requesting an individual permit from the European Commission. This will expand the possibility of supporting other projects that have a significant contribution to the economic and social development of the Czech Republic. If the investor decides to take advantage of the corporate income tax discount, he will not have to wait for the approval of the investment incentive by the government.
