New CEO of state-owned company Česká pošta Martin Elkán presented the strategy for upcoming years. He announced that the era of toys and goods sold by employees is over and that the minimum limits for selling goods and banking products to obtain full salary is over. The company wants to focus more on the financial services and it could apply for its own banking license after its present contract with ČSOB is over in 2017. The new CEO promised that the number of its branch offices would stay unchanged and added that the company will focus more on strategic partnership with states and with public authorities and on providing variety of services for them. Minister of Interior added that the state should pay its share if it wanted Česká pošta to maintain the number of branch offices and provide necessary services as it was usual in other countries.
