High-tech products, such as aerospace equipment, electronic-telecommunications equipment, pharmacy products, scientific instruments etc. represent around 18% of EU trade with the rest of the world.

In 2015, the EU imported the most high-tech products from China (34% of total EU imports of these products from outside the EU), the United States (26%) and Switzerland (6%). Read more (in English).
