During its meeting on 5th May 2014 Czech government agreed on the schedule of implementation of Civil Service Act which is to be accepted by the Parliament and is expected to come to force in 2015. In July 2014 the Directorate General of  Civil Service is to start its work as organisational unit of Office of Government of the Czech Republic. In October 2014 Director General of Civil Service is to be appointed. After that on 1st January 2015 State secretaries and on 1st January 2016 Section directors will be appointed. Eventually all other superior officers will be nominated not later than on 1st January 2017. The schedule was designed in accordance with the negotiations with professionals and scholars and with the European Commission requests.
