The European Commission has sent reasoned opinions to the Czech Republic, since it considers that their national laws do not comply with the requirements of Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts. For example, contrary to the Directive, a consumer in the Czech Republic will be bound by an unfair contract term as long as he does not actively invoke its unfairness. The Czech Republic has two months to reply. If the reply is not satisfactory, the Commission may bring the matter before the European Court of Justice. For more informartion click here.
