planes.cz: New connections with Prague

The Latvian airline airBaltic will increase the capacity and improve its operations on the Prague route by introducing larger aircraft Airbus A220-300 and a more convenient flight schedule with up to 11 weekly rotations, Prague's Václav Havel Airport informed.

On Sunday, 31 March 2019, the summer schedule comes into effect at Václav Havel Airport Prague. For the duration of the season, a total of 69 airlines will be operating regular scheduled direct flights from Prague, heading to 162 destinations in 54 countries. There will also be direct flights to 16 long-haul destinations, which is the largest number in the airport’s modern history, Prague Airport informed.

Prague Airport shares the best European airport spotlight in the 15–25 million handled passengers category with the airports in Athens and Helsinki. The long-term satisfaction of passengers with services at Prague Airport is demonstrated not only by the international data used in this competition, but also by the latest Prague Airport Perception survey conducted among Czech air travellers at the end of the last year. Based on that, 97% of the respondents consider the airport's overall impression as very good or rather good, according to Prague Airport's press release.

Kazakh based SCAT Airlines announced today opening of service connecting the capitals of the Czech Republic (Prague) and Kazakhstan (Astana). The service is commencing on June 2nd, 2019 and will be operated twice weekly, every Thursday and Sunday, planes.cz wrote. Boeing 737 will fly from Astana at 09:50 (as DV-803 line) to land in Prague at 11:20. As DV-804, it will then depart from Prague at 12:20 and land in Astana at 21:40 local time. Rossiya will fly their A319s on three additional St. Petersburg-Prague flights weekly from May 24th till Sep 29th. The new FV 6623/4 flights will land in Prague at 19:40 and depart for the return flight at 20.40 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, planes.cz informed.

Prague Airport has opened a new waiting room in Terminal 2 for passengers with disabilities (opening hours are 8am to 4pm), offering seats, soda bar, assistance with check-in, security check-in, or boarding, planes.cz informed. This service extends the existing range of assistance services that a passenger can ask for when purchasing a ticket or checking-in, at the information desk and newly in this waiting room. Services are provided to passengers with disabilities throughout their journey, including transfer. Passengers with a ZTP / P card are also eligible for free parking, which can be arranged at the C parking lot. More.
