In their reactions for Euractiv.cz to the results of the U.S. presidential elections, on the one hand, Czech MEPs mention TTIP, NATO, unpredictability of further development in EU-U.S. relations, as well as potential isolationism of the U.S. and the possibility that the EU will have to pay more for its security. On the other hand, they support the strength of the U.S. democratic institutions, hope that the reality will differ from pre-election campaigning and that the EU and U.S. - traditional, "civilisational" allies and trade partners - will continue to cooperate in a way that would be beneficial for both sides.
