Business Leaders Optimistic About Recovery in Europe, Research from Accenture Finds

While European companies plan to accelerate digital transformation, their slower investment in innovation might not enable them to catch up with U.S. and Chinese businesses. Two-thirds (66%) of business leaders globally are optimistic that the European market will make a relatively fast recovery from the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new report from Accenture (NYSE: ACN).

Czech companies perceive belonging as the main priority in human capital

The most significant topic in human capital this year for Czech companies is the employees’ sense of belonging and purpose at work (91%). However, only 48% of them state that they are ready for it. These are the results of the 2020 Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends study, which surveyed almost nine thousand HR leaders from 119 countries, including the Czech Republic.

AmCham Board advises that the pandemic likely to last into 2021

The AmCham Board of Directors assessed the duration and depth of the pandemic on May 6. Each board member discussed the current situation in their industry, and predicted both short and long-term impact of the virus on their sector and the Czech economy.  The board will update their assessment regularly. They are now planning web discussions focused on sectors and key economic factors. Reports on this discussions will also be distributed among members.
