WIP Rule of Law Index: Czech Rep has best scores for order, security, worst for corruption, ranks 12th regionally

The Czech Republic ranks 17th globally (out of 113 countries assessed), and 12th regionally (out of 24 countries in the region) in the 2016 Rule of Law Index published by the World Justice Project. The country lags behind in categories Absence of Corruption and Regulatory Enforcement.

Eurostat: Czech Republic has one of biggest increases in EU in R&D intensity since 2004, high share of R&D funding from abroad | No. of applications at EPO more than doubled

Recently published Eurostat data show the biggest increases in R & D intensity (in percentage point terms) between 2004 and 2014 were recorded in Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Austria.
