Eurostat: In Czech Rep over 50 % of all those employed in high-tech manufacturing are women

Eurostat published data on employment in the high- tech sector. At EU-28 level, the average annual growth rate for employment in high-tech sectors was negative over the 2008-2014 period, whereas the Czech Republic registered growth by 1 percentage point between 2008 (share on total employment was 10.2%) and 2014.(11.2%). Five countries, including the Czech Republic, reported that over 50 % of all those employed in high-tech manufacturing were women...

Eurostat: Czech Rep has highest labour productivity ratio for programming, broadcasting sector in 2012

According to recently published Eurostat data, the highest wage-adjusted labour productivity ratio for the programming and broadcasting sector in 2012 was recorded in the Czech Republic (357.7 %); this figure was 2.4 times as high as the national average for the whole of the non-financial business economy.

2015 Freedom of Press Report: Czech Republic 21st: some degree of self-censorship of media workers, oligarchization, lower quality&depth of news reporting

The Czech Republic ranks 21st out of 180 countries asessed in the 2015 Freedom of the Press Report by the Freedomhouse organisation, compared with 9th place in the 2014 report. Harsh laws and violence drive global decline, the organization says, adding that global press freedom declined in 2014 to its lowest point in more than ten years.
