U.S. News Best Countries Rankings: Czech Republic ranks 38th overall, 19th for Citizenship, 21st for Quality of life, 26th for Entrepreneurship categories

The Best Countries rankings evaluate 60 countries across 24 rankings drawn from a survey of more than 16,000 global citizens. Aviationpros.com: General Electric to Build Turboprop Center of Excellence in Czech Republic to Manufacture Advanced Turboprop Engines for Textron

GE Aviation announced plans to build its new turboprop development, test and engine production headquarters in the Czech Republic, creating more than 500 new jobs.

Eurostat: Largest fall in tax-to-GDP ratio in 2014 in the Czech Republic

According to Eurostat, the overall tax-to-GDP ratio, meaning the sum of taxes and net social contributions as a percentage of GDP, stood at 40.0% in the European Union (EU) in 2014, compared with 39.9% in 2013. Compared with 2013, the tax-to-GDP ratio decreased in 2014 in the Czech Republic.
