Deloitte: Czech Republic Corporate R&D Report 2015. Tax and grant support for research and development activities.

The most significant problem in the current system of the support for research and development consists in the tax uncertainty when assessing subsidies or tax deductions by taxation or other authorities. This is according to one third of responding companies that participated in the third survey conducted by Deloitte in cooperation with the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR) in the first half of 2015.

Czech Republic 28th in UN's 2015 Human Development Index. Could do better?

The UN's 2015 Human Development Index looks at gender inequality, maternal mortality ratio, adolescent birth rate, share of seats in parliament, population with at least some secondary education. and labour force participation rate, among others. The Czech Republic ended up 28th in global ranking, with average annual growth rate 0.4% in 2010-2015 and international student mobility reaching 6.5% of total tertiary enrolment in 2013...
