EC Regional Innovation Scoreboard: Four Czech Regions increase their regional innovation performance

Regional Innovation Scoreboard 2016 covers 214 regions across 22 EU countries and Norway. In addition, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Malta are included at country level. As for the Czech Republic, four regions increased their innovative performance over the past two years.

Radio Praha: Avast purchase of AVG set to secure Prague as global computer antivirus hub

In what looks like one of the biggest deals of the year, two originally Czech computer antivirus security companies have announced they are getting together with the likelihood of putting Prague and the Czech Republic permanently on the map as the home of one of the world’s leaders in the sector, Radio Prague wrote.

Radio Praha: Centre developing driverless car technology to open in Prague

The French company Valeo is planning to open a new centre aimed at developing driverless car technology in Prague this coming December. The move will make the Czech capital one of the leading centres in the world in the growing field of autonomous cars, Radio Praha writes, referring to the newspaper Lidove noviny.
