Moravian Convention Bureau/ICCA: Brno among top 100 most popular European congress destinations

According to ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) ranking, Brno jumped up from the 143th place in 2014 to 97th place in 2015 and made it to the TOP100 most popular congress destinations in Europe. Also, Brno ranks 12th in Europe in the latest Quality of Life Index by Numbeo.com.

TOL.org: Cubing in Prague

The Czech capital hosted the 2016 European Rubik’s Cube Championship, as the cube, a Hungarian invention, came home to Central Europe. The event saw a new European record for fastest single solve with a time of 5.13 seconds, the TOL.org portal wrote.

Eurostat: In Czech Rep air travel booked online for less than half of trips

In 2014, for just under 1 in 4 tourism trips (24 %), transport was booked online. However, for many trips where people travel with their own car no booking (whether online or offline) was needed. In six Member States (Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, Romania and Slovakia), air travel was booked online for fewer than half of the trips, recent Eurostat data show.
