Hard Rock® Opens Its Iconic Rock Shop at Václav Havel Airport Prague

The Hard Rock Café American chain, which has been operating a restaurant and a merchandise store in the center of Prague for over ten years, is now adding another venue to its portfolio. The Rock Shop will launch its operations at Václav Havel Airport Prague on August 3, 2021, offering passengers all the iconic items from the brand’s range of merchandise, starting with T-shirts, sweatshirts, pins, mugs and many other things. The new store is located in Terminal 1, designated for flights to countries outside the Schengen area.

Travel Interest Continues to Grow; Passenger Numbers Double in June 2021

As per the latest statistics, nearly 289 thousand passengers passed through the gates of Václav Havel Airport Prague in June 2021, representing an increase of over 650 percent compared to June 2020 when the air traffic slowly began to recover after the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, the number of passengers handled at Prague Airport in June 2021 has doubled compared to May this year. The trend is expected to continue in the main summer months, i.e., in July and August. Last month, the most popular destinations were on the Greek Islands, in Spain and Italy, thus in the countries where most people spend their holiday.

Holiday Season Begins: Fly from Prague to Over 100 Destinations

With the beginning of the summer holiday season, the offer of places to where passengers can fly from Prague aboard direct flights continues to expand. Currently, Czech and foreign tourists can choose from more than 100 destinations, including charter flights, operated by over 35 airlines. During July 2021, direct flights will also be launched by carriers on new routes to a number of places across Europe. Ryanair is to fly to Modlin Airport in Warsaw, easyJet to launch a new connection to Barcelona, while Wizz Air is to offer flights to Rome and Catania. Smartwings has been flying to Nice on the Côte d'Azur since Thursday.
