The strength and swiftness of our recovery from the Covid19 crisis will be determined by how much and how soon business will begin to invest in jobs and production. Government stimulus will help, but the efficiency of government administration is just as important. The construction approval process in the Czech Republic is 156th out of 190 countries in World Bank rankings. Moving to the top third in the rankings would be a major contribution not only to accelerating the recovery, but making it possible for the Czech Republic to become TheCountryfortheFuture.

Breakthrough court ruling on differential regional pay

The Supreme Court has currently commented negatively on the common practice of employers operating in several regions, who remunerate their employees differently depending on where the work is performed.

Czech government prepares plan to access EU funds

On July 21, the European Council reached a deal on a recovery package, with two elements: a response to the coronavirus crisis (the Next Generation EU (NGEU) and a revised European budget (the Multiannual Financial Framework), in the total amount of 1,824.3 billion euro. In order to access the grant support, the EU countries must now prepare national recovery plans for 2021-2023 which need to be consistent with the country-specific recommendations and contribute to green and digital transitions.
