Economist Impact: Preparing for the European Health Data Space (EHDS): unlocking the potential of open data in the Czech Republic - Dr. Pavel Hrobon

We are facing two challenges in the Czech Republic that may also be relevant for other countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The first is related to the infrastructure for e-health and, more broadly, digitisation. This infrastructure has not been built yet, largely owing to implementation inefficiencies and capacity constraints at a national level. The second is the availability of health data for secondary use, such as research, measuring quality and safety, and understanding what is happening in the healthcare system.

Recently, AmCham Real Estate Council discussion participants came to a conclusion that while offices are not dead, home office is here to stay. Companies have adopted the ‘no additional desks‘ principle, measure occupancy, create heat maps, or seating plans, apps to regulate parking, they consolidate resources and communicate intensively with their employees.

The Office for Personal Data Protection has updated the guidelines and rules for cookies and cookie bars

Technical cookies

At first, according to the Office, it is important to distinguish whether personal data is processed via "technical cookies" or "non-technical cookies". If the website only uses technical cookies that are necessary for its own operation, there is no need to use a cookie bar, however, the website users have to be informed of this fact (including a recommended list of cookies used and their purpose). If there is related processing of personal data, such information must also comply with the requirements of the GDPR.
