Bisnode Index of Women Influence: Czech Republic ranks low among 11 countries
The Bisnode Index of Women Influence – BIWI – compares various countries according to the influence women have on their economies. The influence of women is measured according to four parameters: share in the number of companies, share in the number of employees, share in revenues and share in net profits. The share of the number of women-owned companies compared to the total number of companies is the base for calculating the BIWI.
Producer prices surprised with a marked drop
Production price indices recorded a surprising drop. Producer and agricultural prices have slumped in particular. On the other hand, construction prices continued moderate growth while prices of market services increased distinctively. Producer and agricultural prices thus added to the disappointment represented by February’s consumer inflation. Although we assume the central bank will continue to hike interest rates, it may be possible it will choose a time out in May given previous inflationary developments, according to Komerční banka.
Radio Praha/E15: Czech foreign owned companies take second biggest dividend yield in 2017: report
Foreign–based mother companies of some of the Czech Republic’s biggest firms last year claimed the second highest dividend yield from their local assets ever, according to calculations by the business daily E15, Radio Praha writes. A study by the consultancy company Bisnode suggests that the domination of foreign owned companies of the overall Czech economy has been dropping in recent years, though.
