CMS launched last week its 10th edition of annual European M&A Outlook -- published each year in association with Mergermarket and offering a comprehensive assessment of dealmaking sentiment across Europe’s M&A market, the report is based on interviews with hundreds of corporates and private equity firms based in Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific about their expectations for the European M&A market in the year ahead. Tolerating Green Cartels – National Guidelines on Anticompetitive Agreements with Sustainability Aims
The interplay between sustainability and competition law remains a scarcely addressed area, despite its rising importance. Agreements between companies aimed at achieving sustainable growth carry an undeniable benefit to the public, but also a risk of colliding with competition norms. Given the absence of specific regulation, as well as little case law, some national competition authorities have begun publishing guidelines to address the issue.
Václav Havel Airport Prague Handles 3.8 Million Passengers Last Summer
Prague Airport has managed a strong summer season without major complications. From June to August, over 3.8 million passengers were handled, which is one third less than in the record year 2019. However, the increasing tendency prevails. Since the beginning of the year until the end of August 2022, nearly seven million travellers passed through airport gates. The busiest day was 1 July when the number of handled passengers exceeded the 50 thousand mark.
Compensation for work accidents and occupational diseases to increase from September
The high inflation of recent months has affected the compensation provided to employees for accidents at work and occupational diseases. From September, such compensation is to be further valorised, primarily for the benefit of employees.
