Passenger Numbers at Prague Airport Increase by 213 Percent during 2021 Summer Schedule with Number of Movements in Czech Sky Growing Year-on-Year

During the 2021 summer operational season, Prague Airport handled over 3 million passengers, representing a year-on-year increase of 213%. The offer of connections comprised a total of 123 destinations, operated by 51 air carriers. Over a third of passengers used the services of Smartwings airlines. Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic, a state-owned enterprise, provided its services to a total of 291,393 flights in the Czech airspace during the 2021 summer season, representing a 51% year-on-year growth.

Masaryk University collaboration yields first 4 3D lessons

BE3D Academy adds four new 3D lessons – free for any educator to download. 3D lesson plans are rich resources for teaching STEAM subjects through engaging projects and 3D printing. Here we share details on the new lessons. 

Through a collaboration with Masaryk University, BE3D Academy has added four new 3D lessons that are free to download for any registered user. Masaryk is one of the first universities in the Czech Republic to offer 3D printing to students.

Blue Card – future of EU labour mobility

Projections show that by 2070, the European Union will have 292 million people of working age, compared to 333 million in 2016. This trend would mean a significant decline in the workforce for the EU member states. This is one of the reasons why the European Parliament approved a revised draft of the 2009 Blue Card Directive, which should facilitate labour mobility between member states. The European Council adopted the directive on 7 October this year.
