Czech Industrial Property Office: No. of granted patents grows, but Czech applicants could be more active abroad
The Czech Industrial Property Office granted 781 patents in 2016, of which 637, or 82%, to domestic applicants, which is the most in the last two decades. Despite the positive development, Czech applicants are still not active enough abroad, the Czech Industrial Property Office says in its 2016 annual report.

OECD Taxing Wages 2017 report gives details of taxes paid on wages in OECD countries. It covers personal income taxes and social security contributions paid by employees, social security contributions and payroll taxes paid by employers, and cash benefits received by in-work families.In the Czech Republic, tax wedge rose by more than 5 percentage points in the 2000-2016 period, the report says.
