WEF/EF: Which countries are best at English as a second language? Czech Republic ranks 16th worldwide
The Netherlands has emerged as the nation with the highest English language proficiency, according to the EF English Proficiency Index, with a score of 72. It is ahead of five other northern European nations at the top of the chart. The Czech Republic ranks 13th in Europe and 16th worldwide.

Industry’s share of total employment is by far the highest in the Czech Republic, followed by Slovakia and Poland, while Cyprus, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom recorded the lowest share of employment in industry. In all Member States this share is decreasing, EU's 2016 Employment and Social Developments report says, among others.
