Česko v datech/Hlidacipes.org: Number of students enrolled in technical university education rose by 18% since 2001

The number of students enrolled in technical university education rose by 18% since 2001, compared with an increase of 120% in humanities' students, Cesko v datech / Hlidacipes.org wrote. Also, the number of students who completed their university degree rose from over 30,000 in 2001 to over 88,000 in the academic year 2014/2015. The share of population with tertiary education (28%) is still bellow the OECD average of 32%.

Federation of German Industries, U.S.Chamber of Commerce joint letter on participation in Hannover Messe

The Federation of German Industries (BDI) and the U.S.Chamber of Commerce invite companies to participate in the Hannover Messe that will be held on 25-29 April 2016 in Hannover, Germany. For the first time in the history of the fair, the United States of America will be the Partner Country of the event and will have the opportunity to showcase the state of technology, innovation, advanced manufacturing and workforce development.

OECD: Average job quality in Czech Republic

OECD's recent report on job quality asseses the OECD countries based on three criteria: Earnings quality, Labour market security, and Quality of the working environment. The quality of jobs in the Czech Republic is about average, the report says.
