Demand for new logistics space at the border grows: Bekaert to move to new customized manufacturing warehouse by CTP in Aš

CTP, one of the five largest real estate developers in Europe, is expanding its industrial park in the town of Aš, near the border with Germany, where demand for logistics space has been growing significantly. Textile manufacturer Bekaert Textiles, a member of the Bekaertdeslee Group, will move into a new warehouse there later this year. The warehouse, currently under construction, will be the third on the site. Bakaert will expand its production lines, which will also be modernised and will newly incorporate recycled materials as part of its sustainability efforts.

The purchase of goods up to € 22 from all third countries (i.e., not only from China) will be increased by VAT and customs duties

After 1 July 2021, the obligation to pay VAT will apply to each consignment of goods ordered by a natural person from third countries, and the obligation to file a customs declaration will apply.
