JLL The Investor: What does Europe’s economic outlook mean for its real estate?
Europe’s major economies are bracing themselves for a triple hit of slowing growth, ongoing trade wars and Brexit uncertainty. For real estate investors, Europe still remains an attractive home for global capital, compared with other parts of the world. But after more than 10 years in the current cycle – and at a time of record dry powder – questions are increasingly being asked around how much longer it can run, and whether the European Central Bank’s latest stimulus programme will prolong the cycle further. David Rea, chief economist for EMEA at JLL, gives his outlook on the big topics facing Europe’s economies going into 2020.

Prague, October 21, 2019 - The meaning of freedom in the here and now, and the importance of protecting and nurturing it - highly topical issues that preoccupied the Prague office of international law firm White & Case when it invited its clients and co-workers to the Marble Hall of Palác Lucerna on Thursday, October 17th to celebrate 30 years of freedom. The firm used the occasion to support the project known as Paměť národa / The Memory of Nations, which has been recording the stories of direct witnesses of Nazism and Communism for posterity.
AmCham regional health care roundtable discussion in Pilsen
Outcomebased regional health care roundtable was held on 17 October in Pilsen under the auspices of Pilsen regional governor Josef Bernard, with public officials, politicians, representatives of health-care providers, insurance companies and Amcham Health Care Council members.

IMF World Economic Outlook October 2019: Global Manufacturing Downturn, Rising Trade Barriers
Global growth is forecast at 3.0 percent for 2019, its lowest level since 2008–09 and a 0.3 percentage point downgrade from the April 2019 World Economic Outlook, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Making growth more inclusive, which is essential for securing better economic prospects for all, should remain an overarching goal, the IMF advise.
