Hospitals’ costs totalled CZK 141.6bn in 2015, up 5.1% year-on-year. Personnel costs increased by 6.5% year-on-year and accounted for 46.3% of total costs in 2015.

205th Žofín Forum: High-speed railroads to connect Czech Rep with Germany, Austria first, capital cities of Czech regions to be max 2 hrs of train travel away from each other

The 205th Žofín Forum held on 8 November focused on the issues within the railroad transportation. The high-speed railroads should connect the Czech Republic with Germany and Austria first (after 2030), whereas Brno-Prague connection is planned for the period around 2050. Besides high-speed trains connecting the Czech Republic with its neighbours, there is the concept of fast-track connection (RS Rychlé spojení) of the Prague region with all major cities in the other 13 Czech regions.
