IMF: World Economic Outlook October 2016

The findings of the report suggest, among others, that addressing the general weakness in economic activity, especially in investment, will stimulate trade, which in turn could help strengthen productivity and growth. In addition, given the subdued global growth outlook, further trade reforms that lower barriers, coupled with measures to mitigate the cost to those who shoulder the burden of adjustment, would boost the international exchange of goods and services and revive the virtuous cycle of trade and growth, the report says. Arcadis Global: Prague 9th most sustainable city, underperforms in environmental dimension

Arcadis Global Sustainable Cities Index places Prague among the top 10 most sustainable cities of the world. The 2016 Arcadis Sustainable Cities Index ranks 100 global cities on three dimensions of sustainability: People, Planet and Profit.

InterNations.org: 2016 Family Life Index: Czech Republic surges to 2nd place

In 2016, the Family Life Index consists of 45 countries, up from 41 last year. In order to be included, each country had to have at least 31 respondents who are raising dependent children abroad. The index ranks countries according to childcare and education options in general, their availability, their costs, the quality of education, and overall family well-being. The Czech Republic came in 2nd.
