The Czech Republic has announced its intention to become The Country for the Future. The central part of this new economic strategy is to evolve into an innovative economy. Cities with technical universities fulfill a core role in any innovative economy. If the Czech Republic is to become The Country for the Future, Prague must become A City For the Future.

AmCham regional health care roundtable discussion in Pilsen

Outcomebased regional health care roundtable was held on 17 October in Pilsen under the auspices of Pilsen regional governor Josef Bernard, with public officials, politicians, representatives of health-care providers, insurance companies and Amcham Health Care Council members. Pilot projects on LDL cholesterol treatment, metabolic surgery and public procurement were presented.

IMF World Economic Outlook October 2019: Global Manufacturing Downturn, Rising Trade Barriers

Global growth is forecast at 3.0 percent for 2019, its lowest level since 2008–09 and a 0.3 percentage point downgrade from the April 2019 World Economic Outlook, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).  Making growth more inclusive, which is essential for securing better economic prospects for all, should remain an overarching goal, the IMF advise.
